Turkey: Arson Attack at Bible Correspondence School

By Joseph DeCaro, Worthy News Correspondent

ANKARA (Worthy News)– An electrical fire in Istanbul’s Bible Correspondence School on Dec. 7 is thought to have been from an arson attack after security cameras caught a man leaving the building just after the fire started, according to Barnabas Aid.

The front door to the depot was later found to have been forced and a suspect has been arrested.

Almost half of the school’s 40,000 books have been destroyed; most of the damage was caused by smoke and from water used to extinguish the blaze.

The Bible Correspondence courses offered by the School were used extensively on social media in a nation where 99 percent of population is Muslim with only around 100,000 Christians.
