WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News)– Republicans won a Senate majority late Tuesday, ensuring they will be in complete control of Capitol Hill when the new Congress convenes in January, the Washington Examiner reported.
The GOP wave finally swamped Democrats when Joni Ernst of Iowa became the sixth Republican candidate, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina the seventh, to seize seats from their opponents.
These wins followed pickups in Colorado, Arkansas, Montana and West Virginia. Republicans also fended off Democratic challenges in Kentucky and Kansas. [wp_colorbox_media url=”http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/gop-wins-senate-controls-congress/article/2555751″ type=”iframe” hyperlink=”Source”]
