Chairman withdraws Christian support from Muslim Politicos

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (Worthy News)– The Chairman of the Pakistani American Association called on Christians not to vote for any Islamic political parties in the forthcoming elections unless Muslims promise to repeal their nation’s notorious blasphemy laws while granting dual voting rights for all Pakistani Christians.

William Shahzad told the Pakistan Christian Post that Islamic political parties have generally failed to halt the misuse of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws; specifically, the Pakistan Muslim League in Punjab Province failed to stop Muslim violence against Christians based on the pretext of blasphemy.

Shahzad said the Punjab government permitted a Muslim mob to burn down the homes of Gojra Christians and then allowed the perpetrators to just “walk free”.
