(Worthy News) – U.S. President Donald Trump described his recent phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as highly positive, saying it “went very well.” In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump noted that the two leaders covered “numerous subjects, including trade and Iran,” though he did not elaborate on the specifics of their discussion.

Trump emphasized the strength of their alliance, writing, “We are on the same side of every issue,” underscoring what he portrayed as a unified front between the U.S. and Israel on key regional and strategic matters.

The official White House summary of the call referenced discussions on Iran but made no mention of the 59 hostages still held in Gaza or the ongoing negotiations for their release.

While President Trump has voiced support for a diplomatic resolution to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, he has also made clear that military action remains an option if Tehran refuses to cooperate. His recent phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took place against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East, as both leaders continue to emphasize that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons.

However, despite their shared goal, recent media reports have pointed to growing differences in their strategies. The New York Times reported that Trump hesitated to endorse an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites, preferring to pursue a diplomatic path.

However, last Thursday, Trump denied blocking an Israeli strike, but added, “I’m not in a rush to do it.”

The next round of negotiations between the United States and Iran regarding its nuclear ambitions is scheduled for April 26 in Oman.
